Career
From Danish drama to international cinema.
Roland Møller began his screen career in the Danish prison drama R in 2010. Roles in A Hijacking, Northwest and A Second Chance followed, before he took his first leading role in Martin Zandvliet’s Land of Mine.
As Sergeant Carl Rasmussen, he leads a story set on the Danish coast in the aftermath of the Second World War. The film places him alongside a young ensemble of German prisoners and centres on their work clearing mines left on the beaches. Land of Mine received an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.
His international work includes Atomic Blonde with Charlize Theron and James McAvoy, and Papillon with Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek. He now stars opposite Jason Statham as Captain Marko Madsen, the lead villain in Mutiny, currently in cinemas.
